(Regarding Deposits & 48 Hour Cancellation Policy)
Appointment Policies – South Coast Pet Dentals, Inc.
At South Coast Pet Dentals, Inc. (SCPD, Inc.), we operate as a small, appointment-based business on a first-come, first-served basis. Each appointment is valuable — both to us and to you. To maintain the integrity of our operations and provide the best care possible, we ask that you carefully review our policies outlined below:
1. Appointment Reminders and Responsibility
You are ultimately responsible for remembering your appointment. As a courtesy, SCPD, Inc. sends an initial confirmation email upon booking (provided accurate contact information is given). Additionally, we issue a text and email reminder 72 hours prior to your appointment. This gives you a 24-hour window to cancel or reschedule if necessary.Note: We do not recommend canceling an appointment if you intend to reschedule, as a new booking will incur an additional non-refundable $25 booking fee and a new deposit. Rescheduling can be done via your account or through the confirmation email you received. You can also view your appointment history by logging into your account.All "Priority Booking" fees are non-refundable.All prices are subject to change.
2. Pricing Transparency
Please review our pricing before booking. Final pricing may vary based on the time since your pet’s last visit. If you're unsure when that was, refer to the last dental chart we emailed you, or log in to your account for your appointment history. Detailed instructions are available on our booking page.
3. Booking Fee and Deposit Policy
All appointments require a non-refundable $25 booking fee, which is included in your deposit and applied to your final balance at checkout.
4. Cancellations Within 48 Hours
If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time, your entire deposit is non-refundable. No exceptions.
5. Cancellations Outside of 48 Hours
For cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance, we will refund your deposit minus the $25 non-refundable booking fee.
6. Deposit Application
Your deposit will be applied to your total balance on the day of service. Final charges may vary based on your pet's condition and needs.
7. Appointment Changes Initiated by SCPD, Inc.
If SCPD, Inc. needs to reschedule your appointment and cannot accommodate you within your original time frame, your deposit will be transferred to your next appointment. The 48-hour policy will apply to the newly scheduled appointment. If you choose to cancel at that time, you will receive a full refund, including the booking fee.
8. COVID-19-Related Cancellations
As we do not work directly with humans, our standard policies remain in effect. However, if you have tested positive for COVID-19, please wear an appropriate mask during drop-off and pick-up to minimize risk.
9. Late Arrivals and No-Shows
Due to our tightly scheduled operations, arriving 15 minutes or later will be considered a No-Show. You will forfeit your deposit or may opt to pay a Late Arrival Fee based on your pet’s weight class, in which case we will do our best to accommodate you the same day without a guaranteed completion time.
Please understand: Late arrivals disrupt our ability to serve all clients efficiently. We cannot guarantee the exact time your pet’s service will be completed, and delays may range from minutes to several hours depending on availability.
10. Aggression Policy
On rare occasions, if we are unable to complete a cleaning due to your pet's aggressive behavior (e.g., attempting to bite), your deposit will be forfeited. No further service charges will apply, except for any costs associated with sedative use, if applicable.
11. Limited Cage Space PolicyDue to our very limited cage space, we require clients to pick up promptly after their dental cleaning. Any client picking up their pet more than 30 minutes after being notified that their pet is ready for pick up will be assessed a fee/hour based on weight beginning at the 31 minute mark and every hour after. Fees: XS - $25, SM - $50, Med. - $75, LG - $100, XL - $150, XXL - $200, XXXL - $250. During this time, we will offer your pet water and take outside to potty.
